Hungarian Ministry of Innovation and Technology

Hungarian Ministry of Innovation and Technology is one of the seven ministries of Hungarian government. The State Secretariat for Higher Education, Innovation and Vocational Trainings is operating under the Ministry of Innovation and Technology.

The goal of the Hungarian government is to create a stable business environment, create an entrepreneur-friendly institutional system and support fast-growing companies in successfully competing in international competition. Thus, it encourages closer co-operation between higher education and the corporate sector, for example by setting up science parks in eight locations around universities and research sites.

UCityLab

The University-City Action Lab (UCITYLAB) project aims to strengthen the links between HEIs and the city stakeholders by having students solve city issues through a series of challenge projects in Paris, Barcelona, Porto and Ljubljana. It facilitate knowledge exchange and flow of resources, enhance societal relevance of HEI curriculum via civic engagement, help develop relevant skills among students, empower universities in increasing their knowledge and practice in establishing urban partnerships, and foster adoption of city engagement models in European HEIs.
